The best solar panels for the OSCAL PowerMax series are chosen for their compatibility with the built-in MPPT charge controller, ideal voltage/current range (typically 12-150V or similar), high efficiency, and excellent portability. These panels allow quick charging times and maximize solar input for your station. OSCAL PowerMax stations use standard MC4 connectors for solar input, supporting most quality panels when the specs are a match.

Official/Recommended OSCAL Panel Options (Best for Plug-and-Play Panels)

OSCAL produces branded portable and foldable solar panels, designed for seamless use, warranty compatibility, and high efficiency (21.7-23% conversion rates). These panels are often bundled or suggested on oscal.hk and top retailers for best results:

• OSCAL PM200 Pro (200W): This panel fits the PowerMax 3600/2400 perfectly — achieve a full charge in about 2.25 hours with eight panels (or use fewer for partial charges). Foldable, adjustable kickstand, and ETFE coating ensure durable, outdoor-ready panels.
• • Peak Power: 200W per panel
  • Cell Type: Monocrystalline silicon solar panels for reliable output
  • Cell Efficiency: ≥21.7% (up to 23% for certain panel versions)
  • Coating/Lamination: ETFE, making these panels weatherproof and long-lasting
  • Waterproof Rating: IP65 or IP67 (these panels are dust-tight and rain/snow-melt resistant, perfect for outdoor use in Calgary’s climate)
  • Dimensions:
    • Folded: Compact briefcase-style (around 536 × 618 × 54 mm—panel specs may vary slightly)
    • Unfolded: Large sun-facing surface (typically about 2 meters in length when deploying the panels)
  • Weight: Lightweight (about 5–8 kg per panel), easy to carry by handles and set up using built-in stands for best sun capture
  • Connectors: MC4 standard, matching most modern solar panels and usually shipped with adapters like MC4 to XT60/Anderson for PowerMax models
  • Other Features: The panels feature a quick-fold design for setup/storage, adjustable stands for optimized angles, and good performance even under partial cloud or light shade.

This 200W panel is lighter and more affordable than larger 400W panels (PM400 line), making it a smart match for a mid-range PowerMax like the 1800SE (fast recharge in sunlight) or pairing 2–4 panels for high-capacity stations such as the 6000.
